After Care Instructions
Retouch
Our Eyelash Extensions can last up to 6~8 weeks. It depends on your own natural eyelash growth cycle and how well you follow these after care instructions. But it looks at its best for about 2~3 weeks. Lashes usually fall and grow with the cycle every day as same as your hair.
As your natural lashes fall out due to the growth cycle, you will need retouch when the new lashes grow. At first you may need a retouch every 2 weeks. As you become accustomed to the extensions, the time between retouches can be extended to 3 weeks.
When you come for the retouch, we take the loose or hanging ones off and replace with new lashes. Each time you come for a retouch, we will apply for the same quantity of eyelashes as your previous new set.
Can I still wear eye makeup?
Yes, but many clients don’t even feel the need to wear mascara since the extensions give the lashes the appearance of mascara being worn 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! You can now get out of bed in the morning looking great! No more running, streaking, smudging mascara, which is fantastic for brides on their special day.
You may even find that you won’t need eyeliner, either! However, you can still use eyeliner and eye shadow as usual, along with our specialty formulated mascara made just for your extensions (but never use waterproof mascara on them), as long as you remember to remove your makeup with a product that does not contain oil of any kind, as this will affect the longevity of the adhesive. We recommend that you use makeup remover with a Q-tip to gently remove any makeup near your extensions so that you never have to rub your lashes.
How long will the eyelash extension procedure take?
The lash extension application can take anywhere from 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the fullness of your natural lashes. The more lashes you have, the more extensions we can apply! This is a meticulous procedure that requires patience and concentration; therefore it is important not to rush the process so that you can leave with a perfect set of lashes! You will be relaxing with your eyes closed, and you will feel no pain as this is a non-invasive procedure. Many of our clients are so relaxed that they fall asleep!
Who cannot have eyelash extension applied?
An individual with any allergy to adhesive, an individual who has undergone chemotherapy over the last six months, or an individual who does not have natural eyelashes may not have eyelash extensions applied.
Will the eyelash extension procedure hurt?
No, not at all! The procedure is completely safe and painless. There is no waxing or plucking required. Neither the eyelash extensions not the adhesive ever touch your skin.
Is the eyelash extension safe?
Yes, absolutely! Eyelash extensions are completely safe and painless. There is no waxing or plucking required. This formaldehyde-free adhesive is formulated from many of the same products that are included in the new medical suture-less wound closure technology.
